Spanish bread

My parents used to buy spanish bread regularly for us when we were kids. It really is just called “Spanish bread” at home, and everyone knows what it is. We were a colony of Spain for hundreds of years so it made sense in my head. 🥹

In my 5 years in Melbourne, I’ve found this sold in three places:

  • a Pinoy bakery somewhere in a western suburb where Sarah and Adam used to live
  • the Korean grocery in Glen Waverly who stocked this for some reason lol
  • the Pinoy grocery in Cranbourne North

I always heat it up in the microwave for about ten seconds to soften the bread and let the honey/sugar melt a little.

Each time I buy them I have NO REGRETS, they taste like childhood.
